*Powder induction rates listed are based on Calcium Carbonate (CaCO₃) as the reference material when added via a hopper.Actual induction rates will vary depending on the properties of the powder/solid being processed and the method of powder feeding used (jumbo bag, silo, flexible hose)

Applications

  • Fumed silica dispersion — difficult to wet due to extremely low bulk density and high surface area; a classic vacuum-induction use case
  • CMC (carboxymethyl cellulose) and Carbopol mixing — thickeners/rheology modifiers used across chemical formulations, prone to the same clumping issue as other hydrocolloids
  • Bentonite high shear mixing — both drilling fluids and industrial suspension applications
  • Battery manufacturing / electrode slurry production — carbon black, graphite, and binder powders dispersed into NMP or water-based slurry for lithium-ion battery electrodes.
