Duplex Disintegrator Dissolvers: From Rubber Bales to Ready-to-Use Sauces
Solid materials don’t always arrive in a form that’s easy to mix — rubber bales, resin blocks, powder agglomerates, or dense pastes need to be broken down before they can be properly dissolved or dispersed into a liquid. Wahal Engineers’ Duplex Disintegrator Dissolvers is built specifically for this two-step challenge, combining aggressive size reduction with fine dispersion in a single continuous process.
This makes it especially effective for two very different but equally demanding applications:
Rubber and polymer disintegration — Breaking down rubber bales, resin blocks, and polymer solids into liquids or solvents is notoriously difficult with conventional agitators, which simply aren’t built to physically tear apart dense, compacted solid materials. Wahal’s disintegrator/dissolver handles this disintegration directly, making it suitable for rubber, resin, and polymer processing in the chemical and petrochemical industries.
Ketchup and paste preparation — On the food processing side, the same disintegration-then-dispersion principle is what makes it effective for manufacturing tomato sauces and ketchups, as well as preparing ginger-garlic paste and similar thick, particle-heavy food pastes — breaking down coarse solids and blending them into a smooth, consistent final product.
The duplex configuration works by passing material through two rotor-stator stages in sequence — the first stage handles initial agglomerate breakdown and coarse dispersion, while the second stage refines the material further, achieving finer particle size and more complete dissolution than a single pass could deliver. This staged approach reduces the need for extended recirculation time, since much of the size reduction work is completed within the unit itself rather than relying on repeated passes through a single shearing zone.
