The decorative paint manufacturing process involves the production of paints primarily used for aesthetic and protective purposes in architectural, residential, and commercial applications. This includes water-based emulsions, enamels, primers, and textured coatings. The process typically involves raw material handling, premixing, dispersion, let-down, tinting, filtration, and packaging.

Process Flow Overview

1. Raw Material Handling

 

Storage: Raw materials are stored in silos, tanks, or bags depending on their form.

2. Efficient and dust-free production of paint

Objective: Wetting and partial dispersion of solid powders.


Equipment: Wahal powder wetting machine with Up to 500 kg/min induction rate
Dust-free and loss-free powder induction 

Wahal inline disperser for dust-free powder induction is a customizable machine with various powder induction options

  1. Dispersion / Grinding

Objective: Reduce particle size for uniformity, gloss, and color.

Pigments, fillers, thickeners induction into liquids( Solvents, water, resins )


Equipment: Wahal bead mill.
